SWEET TOOTH

I think it's an understatement to say that I have a "sweet tooth"... so as luck would have it Detour had the opportunity to photograph some fine chocolates from Dallmann Confections. Austrian chocolatier Isabella Valencia's creations are amazing and I can testify that they taste as good as they look! Not only is Isabella very talented but her personality matches her product, super sweet!

A hat's off to Buchanan Design for a great job with the re-branding and website design. Those guys know how to give referrals, and speaking of referrals... check out their handy work on the new Dallmann Confections site and order a truffle or two while your there.

Going toe-to-toe

Last week Detour got a call from pro MMA fighter Hans Marrero, he was looking for some promotional images for his upcoming fight. Going toe-to-toe with a guy like Hans, I'd much rather be holding a camera than a couple of clinched fists. I figure with a camera and lens combined weight of around 5 pounds, I could throw it at him and run if the shoot started to go wrong!

Luckily for me, Hans is a true professional and great to work with. We had a good time yesterday and produced some pretty cool images. All of us at Detour wish him the best in his return to the ring.
